Sandra Mossor – East View Satellite – Ballot Position: 1

I am a proud 1959 graduate of Victory High School and for many years served as a volunteer in the United Hospital Center’s gift shop and president of the Hospital Auxiliary. As a member of the Board, we have been agents of change using Zoom and call-in for the Board meetings and would like to continue to be agents of change as the center moves forward. I worked with the Executive Director and the Board to continue to provide essential services at the Center during its closure because of the Covid pandemic. If re-elected, I will continue to work with the Executive Director to fundraise and promote more programming aimed at keeping seniors active in our center for their mental and healthy well-being. I would appreciate your consideration and vote for my re-election to another three-year term on the Center’s Board of Directors.

Janet Dotson – Shinnston Satellite – Ballot Position: 3

I have been a member of the Shinnston Satellite for over 20 years and am currently the satellite president.  After retiring from 35 years of teaching, I have dedicated myself to working for seniors.  I am a good listener for seniors and try to help any senior who confides in me.  I have been on the Board of Directors for many years and am very knowledgeable about how it operates.  I have been a Region 1 representative to the Area Agency on Aging Council in Wheeling.  Throughout my years on the board, I have always voted for what I felt was in the best interest of seniors.  I served on the board during the pandemic to help maintain services to seniors.  I am active in center activities.  I am a wife, a mother, a grand and great grandmother, but, most of all, I am a true senior citizen.

Donna K. Stuart – Center – Ballot Position: 4

As a lifelong resident of Harrison County, my roots run deep in the community. I graduated from RW High School, worked for the US Postal Service in Clarksburg and retired in 2013. I was hired as the HCSCC Transportation Manager and Assistant Director. Keeping my roots in the community, I am a Harrison Co. I volunteer with the HCSCC ceramics group and Senior Nutrition Mission Program. I have supervised flower planting in the flower beds outside the Center. During COVID-19, I supported the Executive Director to keep HCSCC essential programs operating. Please vote for me.

Gerry Dorsey Barnhart – Spelter Satellite – Ballot Position: 6

I have recently retired with 29 years of service at Pratt & Whitney and would like to volunteer in the community. Serving the seniors has always been a goal of mine. As a senior myself, I believe I have skills to assist the center to grow for current and future generations.  We all need the center and its services. Would hope to watch the center to continue to grow in the future. Hoping I could learn and grow with center and offer new ideas, etc. I currently belong at the Spelter Satellite.  Knowing the main center is always available. The activities and services of the HCSC needs relayed to all eligible seniors of our county. I believe so many are unaware of said services. Seniors need help being heard in the county. I believe I am an honest person and would enjoy serving the seniors.

Why I would like to serve on the HCSC BODs: I have been a member of the HCSC since 1998 and have served on the BOD as the County Commission representative for 18 years of which I have served in various leadership positions including President.  In 2005 while serving as your President I was instrumental in establishing the Satellite President’s Council. If elected I will continue to be an advocate for Harrison County senior citizens issues.  I am committed to a better tomorrow and will never forget that I am serving for you. I have a Master’s Degree Public Administration and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Secondary Education. In addition I have over 40 years of public service.  I am a veteran of the USAF and a retired Police Officer from Washington, DC. Your vote for me would be greatly appreciated.

I have held many positions of leadership in the past and I continue to remain active in various organizations. Having previously served on the board, my experience will allow me to represent you with knowledge and honesty. I believe your wishes and concerns should be heard and that the Board must work with you in addressing these issues. This is a relationship I strongly encourage and as a Board member would promote and endorse.

Bill O’Field – Marshville Satellite – Ballot Position: 9
