AARP Tax assistance is for the elderly, low income and veterans. AARP Tax Assistance volunteers cannot do complicated returns.
AARP Volunteers will be available to set appointments on Wed, Jan. 29 and Fri. Jan 31 from 1p – 3p. You must come in or call 304.624.0903 to make an appointment.
AARP Tax Assistance will start Feb. 5 and end on April 15.
AARP tax volunteers will be here every WED, THURS and FRIDAY from 9am-Noon, and 1pm – 3pm. Appointments will be taken until all openings are filled.
If school is cancelled, tax assistance is cancelled for that day. If you had an appointment on a day that is cancelled, they will call you at a later date to reschedule.
You must make an appointment; no walk ins will be accepted. Due to dwindling AARP Tax Assistance volunteers, appointments this year are limited. Appointments are only available during tax season.
The center provides the tax assistance volunteers with office space and a phone line. Center employees CAN NOT make appointments for you or take messages for the AARP Tax Assistance Volunteers.
